What challenges are we going to tackle at Health100? The first sessions announced

With just over two weeks to go to the first Health100, we are announcing the preliminary sessions suggested by our guests.

Being organized as a curated unconference, Health100 is offering attendees to set the agenda and discussion topics, that will be locked a week before the event.

This year’s focus is set on the already foreseeable future: the challenges, opportunities and strategic steps on how to implement concrete health innovations into practice. We’ve been advising our guests to propose feasible and pragmatic topics with a clear call for action on what other guests can contribute. The goal will be in extracting the collective expertise, knowledge, and experience during the sessions and identifying how we could continue working together on common goals. The point is not only raising the question or a challenge but eventually really doing something about it. The insights and action points generated during Health100 will be summarized into the Nordic Health Resolution, which will be handed to the Ministries of all Nordic Countries and taken with us on the delegation missions to Canada, the Netherlands, Denmark, USA.

Here the action areas that our guests want to address at the first Health100:

  • ROLE OF PHARMA: The mindset and structure of Healthcare ecosystem – what are we afraid of?
  • PREVENTION: How can we better predict, monitor and reduce work-related stress and related health challenges?
  • SUSTAINABLE HOSPITALS: Moving towards more sustainable and circular hospitals: How to tackle the problem of waste
  • IMPACT: How can we make health tech innovations respond better to developing world challenges?
  • INSURANCE: How can we create business and customer value through the blend of digital industry ecosystems of health and insurtech?
  • ENTRY BARRIERS: How can we overcome the barriers of entry for new forms of treatment and small healthcare providers?
  • EFFICIENCY: How can we save the time of medical professionals with new technologies and tools?
  • DEEP TECH: How can we solve the challenges for upcoming deeptech startups?
  • TELEHEALTH: How do we create Telehealth with a positive Return on Investment? What are the barriers and demonstrated solutions?
  • COLLABORATION: How do we empower care collaboration in the Nordics?
  • SUSTAINABLE HEALTHCARE: How can we make sustainable healthcare progress in the Nordics matter globally?
  • UNINTERRUPTED DATA TRANSFER: How to ensure data flow of patient information in all conditions?

Health100 is organised on 2nd of October, in the intimate privacy of the luxurious Hanasaari culture and conference center, surrounded by beautiful Finnish nature.

Principles and roles of unconference:

For those who are still wondering, how is the event organised, we briefly share below the principles of unconference and the roles that people are taking.

The most exciting part of the unconference is unexpected synergies that come out of you taking an adventure to dive into unexpected topic. However, there are no strings attached. The most important rule is the Law of Two Feet: If you find yourself in a situation where you are not contributing or learning, move somewhere where you can. Follow your passion and take your responsibility.

Un-conferences are held utilizing the open space rules:

  • Whoever comes are the right people
  • Whenever it starts is the right time
  • Whatever happens is the only thing that could have happened
  • When it’s over it’s over

Topic Host
A person who feels a burning passion for the subject and is willing to start the conversation, invites others in and makes sure something gets harvested.

Participant
Anyone who is drawn to a conversation and wants to participate fully

Bumblebees
The ones who move from conversation to conversation, cross-pollinating the learning

Butterfly
A butterfly may not want to be in any conversation. A new, unexpected conversation may happen when two butterflies meet.
