Digital Silver Forum

Women & Tech Breakfast: The Impact of Technology in Society

Technology has changed the world as we know it. Its effects can be seen not only in the traditional technology fields but also in almost every aspect of our lives (from even before we are born until our last breath). Health & Education are two main pillars of everybody’s lives and at the event, they will be introduced and discussed by women in these fields. 

Health Design 2017 & Health Design pitching competition
When: 29 November, 09:30 – 18:00
Where: Aalto University Harald Herlin Learning Center, Otaniemi
Tickets: Early bird price is 99 euros until 12.11., 150 euros after can be bought from here
At the event, you will hear about designing health services and hospital spaces to create a better healthcare system. How do you commercialize health technology through design? How can health services be developed through a virtual hospital? What kind of design principles have been applied in the New Children’s Hospital?
Health Design pitching competition is aimed to advance research-based health innovations. The top three competitors will receive prizes with the first prize being 30,000 euros (overall prize sum is 50,000 in total). The application deadline is 23.11.2017, check the instruction for the participation

Nordic Future of Health – Demo Day

The Demo Day is the biggest Health side event during the Slush week and it brings together Slush attendees interested in renewing health industry and building “Patient-focused mobile services”. You will hear about concrete results and mingle with international attendees.

Health Tech Warm-Up with Pfizer and Creathor Venture

Do you want to discuss where healthcare is headed in this era of digitization, and to meet the movers and shakers of tech-enabled healthcare? 30 November, Thursday

Health and welfare services meets startups
When: 30 November, 11:30 – 14:30
Where: Messukeskus, Kokoustamo, meeting room 208
Tickets: Event is free and open for all startups and investors (registration deadline November 10th). Other stakeholders based on invitation only.
Ministry of Social Affairs and Health (MSAH) invites growth companies and health and welfare service system organizations to accelerate their cooperation. Opportunities and support for Health Tech startups and the elements of successful cooperation will be discussed among other topics. 

Life Science and Health Investor Lunch
When: 30 November, 11:30 – 13:30
Where: Messukeskus, Kokoustamo
Tickets: free of charge for the selected startups (deadline for applications is already over)
The Life Science and Health Investor Lunch will bring together highly promising preselected life science and health startups with international investors focusing on biotech, pharma, diagnostics, personalized medicine, remote monitoring and diagnosis, as well as other life science sectors.

Next-Gen Baby Box Finalists Presentations & Winner Announcement
When: 30 November, 14:00 – 17:30
Where: Messukeskus, Kokoustamo Meeting Room 102
Tickets: open for all
Come learn about some of the most innovative products, services and technologies from around the world that aim to turn a simple cardboard box into the Baby Box of the Future. Finalists will pitch to a panel of judges in front of a live audience with up to $350,000 in funding at stake.

Grants4Apps Demo Day at Slush 2017

The Bayer Grants4Apps Accelerator is celebrating its Demo Demo Day 2017 at SLUSH & they invite YOU to celebrate with them the final get together of the digital health community in 2017! Find them at the Bayer Booth right in front of the Founder’s Stage!

Slush Y Science

Slush Y Science is designed to answer the burning question of why we should keep our entrepreneurial eyes on science and bring together all those who are enthusiastic about science, business, and the future. There is an increasing interest in the world-changing possibilities of science-based business and startups. Simultaneously, the scientific community is turning its attention towards the business world, to put into concrete action their discoveries and contributions to society. The aim of the event is to bring forth the value of a science-based business, and encourage scientists to embrace a different way of thinking about making an impact. Slush Y Science is organised together with The University of Helsinki, HiLIFE and Helsinki Think Company.
