Since the publication of the first mobile app store in 2008, the world has experienced a fast-growing market for wellness, health and medical apps. Concerns about the quality and reliability of apps has been present since the first steps in the wellness, health and medical apps era. Today, in most cases, the mobile app is the focal point within an ecosystem of devices. These apps are often promoted directly to consumers through app stores without going through any formal evaluation. Many countries and organizations have health apps assessment frameworks and app repositories that meet locally defined requirements. These activities are important for any app developer who want to promote or sell their product.
