Safe Design in Health Technology – Health Talks
About this Event
Welcome to the first event from the Health Talks series this fall – health, life sciences and entrepreneurship talks organized by Aalto University, Health Design, Kuopio Health, OuluHealth, Terkko Health Hub and Upgraded – Health Startup Association of Finland.
Human factors engineering process has been intended to minimize risks associated with potential use-errors by ensuring that a device is developed for safety and effectiveness. Although regulatory requirements and guidance have been enhanced to minimize design-induced errors, they are too general to provide any real assistance on risk management, verification design, models or practices. Despite the progress, developers often overlook human factors or consider them at the last moment when regulatory approval is already in process.
For whom: Anyone dealing with regulatory requirements in their field of occupation.
Where: Terkko Health Hub.
How: Physically as well as virtually.
Speaker: Satu Peltonen, InXso
