Arne Schlenzka has many roles. He is a doctor, the CEO of Osgenic, a startup creating VR environments where surgeons can prepare for procedures safely, and now he also helps the University of Helsinki to raise funds for coronavirus research and works as a project manager in a network of experts and entrepreneurs whose goal is to help with the health care challenges caused by the COVID-19 crisis.

The urge to help in fundraising sparked when Schlenzka discovered that the corona virus research had quickly been started at the University, but it was urgently lacking funds – which is something that the researchers shouldn’t have to worry about, especially at this point. Schlenzka considers the role of science in solving the corona crisis to be extremely important, as well as cooperation that goes beyond the faculty borders, and private and public sectors.
